Development of comprehensive glossary of terms specific to the client’s field is the first step of the process. We use the translated glossary all through the translation process and add additional terms if necessary. The management of the glossary terms requires a good management as it will be a reference tool for all of the members of the linguist team and it will be maintained and updated when necessary during the timeline of the translation project. When the client approves the glossary , the translation experts receives the glossary, any special conditions which should be taken into account during the translation process.
When the translated documents are transmitted to the head of the project for review and approval, it is forwarded to a proofreading and editing team for a comprehensive quality check. Statement by statement, the proofreaders compare the translated text with the original text to assure the accuracy and consistency of grammatical rules, orthography, syntax, terminology and style.
As soon as all the changes are reviewed implemented on the translation, the content is reviewed by a bilingual team member with linguistic skills in the source and target language of the translation as well as a subject matter expert who was previously engaged with the technical terminology. In addition to double checking the accuracy and fidelity of the translated content, he/she will also confirm that the document is free of any minor grammatical or spelling errors.
Once the final review has been completed regarding the content, then it is assessed by means of quality. The team will review the final translation and update the glossary before submitting the files to the client.
